Lacrosse

Well this weekend coming up is the NLL's all-Star game. Of course since I busy ALL that day and am in class when it is on I will be humping my vcr down the my parents Friday so that I can actually get it taped. Looks like I won't be around Sunday either.

Of course since Buffalo has taken over first in the west, I'm a little less egotistic.

umm, Estactic. Yes.

And speaking of the weekend the next installment of EOR should be up.

I swear, it will.

.....

I never get much sleep Friday nights anyway.

Divination Sunday , and beyond

Well I was supposed to be downtown by 12:30, I ended up getting there around quarter to two. What can I say so many things to do. It was quieter this time around, and I wasn't reading. Magpie was sick so she didn't stick around all that long either.

Considering who walked in the door part way through, that isn't so supriseing.

Meh.

Life goes on. Things are still going well, The after effects of the UBG can still be felt. I am getting stuff done just no where near the level of stuff I need to get done. Homework is the worst, I getting the new stuff that's being assigned done, but I have this big-ass list of 'Catch Up' stuff I really should do that isn't shrinking at all. This is a problem because I've got the time now to get it done, and soon I won't.

Sigh. There nothing new there. Still waiting for the motherboard to come in, it's supposed to be on order. I say 'supposed to be' because I haven't herd anything and I get no answer when I call. *grumble*

Life goes on, and all in all I content with my life right now.

3.3

Clay! We got to spend most of the class sitting there playing with clay. Now that a great way to pass a few hours. I was expecting it to be much more messy than it actualy was.

After that we spent the last bit of the class working on planning the group sabbat ritual We have to put together. Thats comming along nicely, Very nicely considering the time we have had together to actualy work on it.

Later: The Clay tools are no longer quite as flat as they were in class, I still trying to deside if it's from carring it home or the cat walking on it while it was out drying.

Teaching.2

The second class was Cut a little short by the Double booking of the room for the movie.
Still things seem to be going really well.
The resident Cat was all impressed with me, when She walked in in the middle of class.

Just because I CAN do something doesn't mean I have to love doing it. I still have issues with 'people'. Still, I wouldn't call the students we got a crowd.

Uber bomb of goodness

Yes that's what happened.
That perfectly describes my weekend
It was most strange.

Friday around lunch time I went to my parents place to use the printer, And it wasn't connected, not really suprising, on going pannoyance. However while I was there I got an apology from my Mother. I won't get into why this should fall in with the remarcable.

Rushed back to Angrion to meet a fiend I was getting together with for movies that evening, had a blast.

Saturday Morning I managed to get my essay printed in handed in on time at school. Had a slow boring class. Meet Airea for lunch afterwards. On the way to the Metro after Lunch I found Enough Money on the road to pay for the registration for day school next semester.

Made it Downtown with plenty of time to spare for Level 3. Got some more homework done and went to an interesting class on designing rituals. Than off to grab a bite on my way to the covenstead where I gave as good as I got.

Sunday I did nothing except sleep, and relax.

Now there's an idea

Taken from Antihero for hire:

Unexpected War
Year: 2075
It was a time nobody really expected, excepting the organizations up North planning the whole thing. See, what happened was that Canada, tired of the way the US was running their country, sent wave after wave of genetically modified dinosaurs trained to attack only military targets. Not one non-resistant was killed, and all of the states that bordered Canada became provinces. Word is people living there don't really mind, which is one of main reasons it was so successful. The other was, of course, that the US was so busy protecting themselves against Weapons of Mass Destruction that they never made anything to protect against dinosaur attacks.

Work on will begin this immidetly.

Liturgy 1: designing Rituals

It was interesting class, hell it was an interesting weekend, but that's besides the point.
I designed rituals before, both for my self and for small groups of people. I even organized a Samhain ritual for the school. So about half of what we covered was review. I say half because while I may have known more than half what we covered the 3 hours of sleep the night before made it hard to think, and because I never thought of it in quite the way it was covered in class.

Speaking of Samhain, the class reminded me once again of the problem I had with that one. Well, the biggest problem was still timing. Getting the people I was doing it with together, making sure the two, ummm.... "Victims' were both able to be there. And that the space was free, We must have changed the date a dozen times before the end.

It looks like I'm going to be doing in Ostera as the group ritual for class. I dislike Ostera, because it's right near that damn parade. I swear if anyone starts singing that bloody song I'm leaving.

Seriously.

Teaching

Had my first level 1 class of the semester teaching with Magpie.

It looks like a good group of people, all six of them. Well at least the five that I met.

I have six students. *panic*

Half of them are francophone. I really now need to practice my French. It not bad but I don't think it's up to where it would need to be for this.

Definitely going to have to watch the time. First class Well see how it goes.

It's hockey..... In three dementions!

And yet people lwonder Why I Fallow the NLL.

Working stiffs during the week. Professional athletes on the weekend.

Such is life for most players in the National Lacrosse League.

With an average salary this season of $14,000 US in the NLL, not many guys can live by lacrosse alone. Some of the top players in the league -- through added compensation, summer contracts and sponsorships by lacrosse manufacturers -- do nothing but play the game year-round.

The majority, however, work 9-to-5 jobs and fight to strike a balance between their 'real lives' and the ones they lead as weekend warriors in front of thousands of fans.

Full article here.

One of the reasons.

Edit (11:44): And Since Rochester took over top spot and Buffilo knocked Troronto down to third in the West. And Calgery is ontop in the East. I'm estatic.

The roads are no longer safe!

Ok so maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.

I stopped by my parents place Monday since I am not punching hole in 200 page with the little one hole hand punch I have here. As I was leaving My brother and Mother showed up in the smaller car. My brother was practicing driving and wanting more practice Decided he was giving me a lift part way back.

Hey he's already taller than I am, and is off to join the army soon, I feel compelled to poke fun at him while I still can. He drive pretty well, but the car has problems.

And It starts again.

Saturdays are looking to be as brutal as I figured they were going to be. Classes all day all over the place.

Been a while since I had to be up before nine, but with Western Civ Starting at Nine I got to leave here about 7:30. Not that I mind too much Once I head back to work I start at that hour. The class is ridiculously easy. The Map quiz to day consisted of Questions like:
"Is Europe located NORTH EAST SOUTH WEST of Asia?"
Not exactly, the most challenging questions. And the first essay assigned made me laugh, even more so once I showed it to an Owl I know and listened to her comments on it.

Depending on what time that ends I either run home to grab a bite to eat or head to the Library to study before heading down town. Where I finally started CMS Level 3. It's been a while since I got that little surprise piece of paper saying I'd finished level 2. And LONG time since I started that level. Class is looking to be interesting, The three other students I'm in the class with are all former Level one students of mine, Not the best situation but since I dropped in on their level 2 class on occasion no one seems too surprised. We covered Spell crafting this class, Which was interesting of course I always have had a problem with keeping records with is a large part of it.

Of course after that Every second week I run half way back the way I came, to coven meetings.

Turtle 2

The turtle is still in his dry tank, And beginning to annoy me. He keep trying to climb up the wall, and since he can't when he inevitably falls , his shell bangs against the glass bottom or sides. I'm not worried about the tank getting broken, but the noise is distracting, and getting on my nerves. I can hear it in the other room with the door closed and the music on.

Turtle

Well Emerald is into his sick bed now. And yes I know that that sounds odd, how do you make a bed for something that spends most of the day swimming? And yes he's sick his shell is now a soft chalky white instead of green.

I changed a great deal of the tank lately, got rid of the heater with the melted plastic all over it, attached a plug to the heating pad on plugged it in, bought a floating dock for basking which also means I can fill it up a lot more. I probably because need a new filter, however at almost $100, it might be little while before I get it. Any way Last night the big tank got emptied for it's twice yearly Bleach bath. For the next little while the big tank will stay empty of water while the turtle stays warm an d drys out some which should help.

He goes into the little water filled tank twice a day for two hours to be feed. We'll see how he is in a week.
